Simon founded Dataway in 1994 as the internet was first becoming commercialized and security threats were in their infancy. He is an internationally recognized security expert who has helped hundreds of organizations optimize, streamline and secure their networks and IT processes. At Dataway, Simon is responsible for company strategy and operations as well as being one of our principal network and security architects for Dataway’s clients. Simon has worked around the world on projects such as building ISP infrastructures in the Middle East, building out award winning VPN backbones for multinational corporations and designing networks and security architectures for large hospitals.
Prior to founding Dataway, Simon worked at Farallon Computing, a networking company initially supporting the first generation of 10-base-T compliant switches as well as in the role of Network Manager.
Simon studied computer science at San Francisco State and Telecommunications Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley.
